The italian auto news website, AutoBlog.it, has recently published an article about the CL-Klasse 4MATIC, which will make its official appearance at the 78. Geneva International Auto Show in March. It seems that the only model that will receive the intelligent 4x4 system is the CL 500, which is powered by a 5.5 litres V8, developing 388 BHP. The maximum speed is 250 km/h(electronically governed) and the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.4 seconds. The estimated fuel consumption is of about 12.1 litres/100 km, and after being fitted with the 4MATIC system, the CL 500 will have an extra 70 kilogrames added to its max. weight in comparison with the RWD version. Expect for the full press kit to be officially released in the following days.
