F1 Yeongam - More Friday Photos (MGP)

Yesterday, the outstanding sound of the high-revving F1 engines was premierly heard at Yeongam, in South Korea, as the first edition of the Korean Grand Prix commenced on the hardly-finished circuit, that bears Hermann Tilke's signature. The last bed of asphalt has been laid just few days ago and, obviously, the track surface was full of dust at the time of the FP1 round. Constructors have also been forced to apply certain technical modifications to a number of two turns after drivers' complaints, in the night before the FP3 and Qualifying sessions. On the first racing day, MERCEDES GP PETRONAS evaluated certain set-ups to the cars in order to find the best possible configurations to use during the qualifying event. Nico Rosberg was ahead of Michael Schumacher in both practice rounds: P3 in FP1 and P9 in FP2 compared to P6 in FP1 and P12 in FP2.
