Although we've seen some pictures of the next-generation SL's dashboard in the course of this year, the one above is by far the best among all. However, the engineers were careful enough to cover the most important parts of the interior with a vinyl sheet. Regardless of that, it is well known that the R 231 will mimic the SLS AMG dashboard, but probably will also sport several key parts to set it apart from the gullwinged supercar, the same way the new SLK does. The new 3-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, garnished with soft leather and metal, will make its way onto the new SL, as well as the exclusive instrument cluster, with its speedometer and rev counter placed into two separate alveoli, the large, central COMAND screen or the airplane engine-inspired chromed air vents.
