After the standard variant, the prototypes of the future generation SL 63 AMG have also lost some of the outer camouflage. The supersport version of the Mercedes-Benz' premium roadster is bound to arrive in 2012 and will be powered by AMG's new biturbo V8, with a total displacement of 5.5 liters. This unit will feature a peak output risen from 544 hp up to a massive 571 hp and will send the power to the rear wheels thanks to the AMG MCT gearbox. Latest spy shots with the new SL 63 AMG have been recently taken in Northern Scandinavia, where the winter offers the perfect conditions for the cold weather testing phase of the forthcoming open-top sports model.
