Apart from the anticipated 2011 C 63 AMG Coupe, we learn the boys from Affalterbach are also preparing a Black Series version for the new, mid-sized, 2-door model from Mercedes-Benz, reports say. It remains unknown at this moment whether the standard AMG variant will use the already outgoing 6208 cc V8 unit or it will switch in favour of the 5.5 liters twin-turbo V8 engine. In what concerns the Black Series, it is more than certain the new low displacement powerplant, producing in excess of 550 hp specially for this car, will be fitted under the bonnet of the coupe. As a Mercedes-Benz official confirmed, the new C 63 AMG Coupe models will be aimed directly at BMW's M3 and will be unveiled in the course of the next year.
