Mercedes-Benz's future supercar has moved to the wintry northern Europe, in order to face its first cold-climate condition road testing session.
From the last spy pics we saw, the SLC prototypes have changed a lot. They have also lost bits of their camouflage, and now more & more 'naughty' design shapes are coming to light. The Gullwing successor will be equipped with LED daytime running lights, as well as LED rear lights. The famous vertically-actioned doors seem to be already installed and functional on the prototype the photographers caught, not to mention the enourmous brake discs, which feature a great amount of carefully positioned holes in order to ensure a better cooling and improve braking force by distributing the heat evenly. The SLC will be powered by an entirely new twin-turbocharged AMG unit, V8 or V10, that will be capable of delivering between 550 and 650 BHP.
The new supercar from Stuttgart is expected to make its world debut in the summer of 2010 as a 2011 model. The numbers of the SLC shall include:6000 cars to be produced within 2 years from launch and a price tag of about 230000 euros.
