The next generation of the trendsetter of the '4door coupe' segment has been caught for the first time during the testing & development programme under heavy camouflage.
The new generation of the CLS-Klasse should arrive somewhere in 2011. It will basically retain its sexy, appealling lines;moreover, it appears that the car will feature an even lower profile, but is expected to be a bit reduced in length compared to the current CLS. The technical platform issue is still in heavy debate:the new 4door coupe could easily use the W222 S-Klasse modified platform, but W212 E-Klasse seems fesable, judging by the exterior proportions.
The 2011 CLS-Klasse will be powered by an entirely new range of units, including the exquisite hybrid technology engine from the upcoming S 400 BlueHYBRID, and the sporty AMG one.
