SPY - 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL 63 AMG

After we saw a camouflaged 2012 ML 63 AMG near the Ring, this time photographers scooped a 2013 GL 63 AMG strolling around the same area (kinda desperate to hit the magic track for the first time :D). When the first prototype of this model was spotted in the US, it was tested basically using a mule of the current GL-Class generation, but now things have changed and the AMG variant has also received the original coat the standard 2013 GL test cars are wearing. The clues that let us believe this is the future GL 63 AMG are the large-diameter AMG-design wheels, the modified exhaust pipe area (which has also been hidden under thick camo) and the front fascia, whose air intake and bumper are clearly different than the ones seen on other test prototypes. Like its smaller brother ML 63 AMG, the 2013 GL 63 AMG is expected to receive under its hood the same 571 hp 5.5 liters V8 powerplant. This version is tipped for revealing at the end of 2012.
