The first practice day on the Italian track of Monza has definitely been a very fruitful and successful one for the Woking-based F1 team. McLaren-Mercedes managed a pole position with the help of Jenson Button in the first free practice round, while Lewis Hamilton managed a highest 4th position for the team in the second session. The engineers have also debuted a new taller, rear wing for the MP4-25, which proved to be very efficient, despite initial thoughts.
