Stuttgart, Germany, Oct 22, 2008 – Mercedes-Benz is launching an exclusive range of products as a preview of the new Lifestyle Selection 2009. The brand’s typical design features are complemented throughout by the latest fashion shades – grey, silver, anthracite and twilight blue – for a fresh, contemporary look. The products are equally impressive when it comes to everyday practicality and outstanding material quality. The range for men and women extends from the stylish leather handbag and a selection of refined personal accessories to the classic trench coat.



Paris, Milan, New York – this year’s international fashion shows have clearly shown that grey and its variations from pale silver to dark anthracite are among the dominant trends for the coming year. In the Lifestyle Selection 2009 Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH picks up these fashion shades, adds a touch of contrast in twilight blue and combines these with the clear contours, high-quality materials and lifestyle attributes which one associates with the brand.

The new Business Fashion line is made up of stylish basics for the perfect look, and its appeal is certain to extend beyond the target group of businesswomen and managers. The subtle colour scheme used throughout make these high-quality items suitable for any outfit. They can be combined with one another or with other items of clothing to create a stylish look, while the use of sumptuous leather ensures optimum comfort.

Stylish chic for discerning women

The special charm of the elegant leather handbag in soft nubuck leather lies in its plaited handles and high-sheen polished, droplet-shaped metal elements. It also features a highly fashionable, eye-catching tassel with a 3D Mercedes-Benz star. Personal items can be kept in the bag’s large outer compartments with their zip or magnet fastenings. Two open pockets offer additional space. Inside too this attractive accessory is perfectly designed, with a separate compartment for a mobile phone and pen loops to create a tidy, organised feel.

The exclusive wallet is equally rich in detail and also made from sumptuous nubuck leather. While the front features an eye-catching pattern in decorative studs and an unusual tassel, the back features a practical slot pocket. Inside two further pockets, two zipped compartments and eight credit card slots are available, providing plenty of room for a variety of payment options and for business cards.
The leather belt also features distinctive, droplet-shaped metal studs. 105 centimetres in length, it can be shortened to fit the individual’s waist or hip measurements. The leather key ring offers the same aesthetic appeal as the bag, wallet and belt, and the 3D Mercedes-Benz star makes this a highly distinctive accessory. The watch completes the business outfit: the leather strap, in the latest fashion shade, coordinates perfectly with the matt case. Refined Swarovski crystals act as hour markers and create a gently shimmering effect.

The products in the Business Fashion line can be combined with other items from the Lifestyle Selection 2009. The lightweight trench coat in fashionable twilight blue offers a stylish look for any occasion. This contemporary take on the legendary classic is crease-free, water-repellent and breathable, making it ideal for adverse weather conditions. Large buttons and patch pockets underline its fashionable appeal.

The two-layer scarf in cashmere and viscose protects against the wind and cold: the front and back, in grey and blue-grey respectively, coordinate with the other Lifestyle basics. The women’s satin cap, in silver with detailed quilting and embroidered Mercedes-Benz logo, adds a touch of glamour to any shopping trip or leisure outing. And the exclusive, pale grey leather gloves, available in sizes seven to eight, are specially produced for Mercedes-Benz by the renowned and long-established Munich-based manufacturer Roeckl.

The Lifestyle Selection 2009 also has plenty to offer the fashion-conscious male. More pronounced variations on the basic grey tone can be found here, with a range of pale and dark nuances. The anthracite-coloured tank top in extra-fine pure new merino wool has a slim-fit design and can comfortably be worn under a jacket – and despite the fine material it is machine-washable. The same applies to the straight-cut, six-button silver-grey cardigan, which has a style all of its own.

The anthracite-coloured leather gloves by Roeckl, in sizes 8.5 to 9.5, have a distinctive centre seam and ooze masculine style. Thanks to the soft fleece lining they are comfortable to wear too. The pure silk tie, made in Italy, is an eye-catching accessory and is available in silver/black or in a more contrast-rich petrol/silver combination. The range also includes a tie box in fine leather to ensure that the ties retain their immaculate look. Its impressive combination of aesthetic appeal and functionality can also be found in the ballpoint and fountain pen set: the distinctive carbon fibre pens are lightweight yet robust and the stylish presentation box makes this a high-quality gift. The cap of each pen is discreetly hallmarked with the star logo.
