After the new SLK was out, everybody started to ask themselves when the AMG model is bound to arrive. Seeing these fresh bunch of spy photos, captured on the Nurburgring track, tells us that the forthcoming SLK 55 AMG should arrive in the near future, meaning late next month or in July. For this hardcore roadster, AMG has prepared an impressive technical package comprising the best and only the best in terms of handling, suspension and ride dynamics. A brand new aspirated V8 unit, developed from the 5.5 litres twin-turbo unit and producing a maximum output of 422 hp, is in the cards to reach the engine bay of the new SLK 55 AMG, from where it sends power to the rear axle via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT-7 transmission.
