Although this season's overall results are far from being the desired ones, Mercedes-Benz motorsport chief, Norbert Haug, suggested that there is no intention of the Three-Pointed Star brand to leave the F1 world. MERCEDES GP PETRONAS is here to stay, for the time being and for the 2011 season as well. Rumours already claim that the team has phased out development of the MGP W01 single-seater and has completely turned the entire attention to the car they will compete with in 2011. Life isn't going to be easy, as executives intend to apply another budget cut, this time for engine department at Brixworth, together with new dismissals in the personnel.
