After yesterday night's leak, we calmed down a bit after the anxious waiting period that we had to endure as to see the first official glimpse of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse. Now, let's see what's the new E all about!


First of all, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse Limousine will be offered in 4 different versions:the basic trim model, the ELEGANCE trim model, the AVANTGARDE trim model and the special AMG Sportpaket variant.

The basic trim model will feature standard 16-inch alloy wheels, dual fog lamps, and for the interior, normal gearstick mounted on the center tunnel, between the front seats.

The ELEGANCE trim model will display 16-inch alloy multispoke rims for the wheels, fine chrome touches on the sides, rear and front of the car, dual fog lights, standard beige leather upholstery and eukalyptus wood trim for the interior, dashboard and door panels plus a steering column-mounted gear lever.

The AVANTGARDE trim model will distinguish itself via the 17-inch double-spoke alloy wheels, LED fog lights, Bi-Xenon headlights, standard aluminium trim for the interior and a steering column-mounted gear lever.

The AMG Sportpaket version will feature 18-inch AMG design double spoke wheels, modified front air intake and rear diffuser, LED fog lights, standard black leather upholstery and aluminium trim, and a steering column-mounted gear stick.

Mercedes-Benz will also offer the Exklusiv-Paket for the interior, which includes:beige Nappa leather upholstery, special wood trims, ruffled leather for the door panels, caffe latte-coloured steering wheel and upper section of the dashboard, Alcantara leather roof lining.

The new E-Klasse has grown in size compared to the outgoing W211:

Width = 1854 mm
Height = 1470 mm
Wheelbase = 2874 mm

The engine range consists of updated units;diesel lovers will have a choice of 6 different powerplants, as it comes:

E 200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY - I4, 136 BHP, 360 Nm, 215 km/h
E 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY - I4, 170 BHP, 400 Nm, 231 km/h
E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY - I4, 204 BHP, 500 Nm, 242 km/h
E 350 CDI 4MATIC - V6, 224 BHP, 540 Nm, 247 km/h(available only with automatic gearbox)
E 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY - V6, 230 BHP, 540 Nm, 248 km/h(available only with automatic gearbox)
E 350 BlueTEC - V6, 211 BHP, 540 Nm, 540 Nm, 238 km/h(available only with automatic gearbox)

There will be 6 options for petrol engines:

E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY - I4, 184 BHP, 270 Nm, 235 km/h
E 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY - I4, 204 BHP, 300 Nm, 245 km/h
E 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY - V6, 292 BHP, 365 Nm, 250 km/h(available only with automatic gearbox)
E 350 4MATIC - V6, 272 BHP, 350 Nm, 250 km/h(available only with automatic gearbox)
E 500 - V8, 388 BHP, 530 Nm, 250 km/h(available only with automatic gearbox)
E 500 4MATIC - V8, 388 BHP, 530 Nm, 250 km/h(available only with automatic gearbox)
