BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION: Exclusive Customization of Business Executive Jets

Providing all customers with their personal tailor-made dream cars: this motto has made BRABUS the world’s largest independent automobile tuner over the past 35 years. In addition to owners of exclusive automobiles and yachts BRABUS Group now also puts this know-how at the disposal of discriminating owners of private jets around the globe: BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION offers exclusive appointments for the cabins of brand-new executive jets as well as the redesign and customization of aircraft already in operation.

In addition, BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION also offers extraordinary liveries and comprehensive aircraft management services custom-tailored to the client’s individual preferences.

The focus of all business activities is on jets, such as those from the Bombardier Global Express and Challenger aircraft families, as well as on the Dassault Falcon series. Larger business aircraft can be customized as well.

Aircraft owners can have BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION either custom-tailor their very own personal cabin design from the ground up or use one of the design lines presented by BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION as the starting point for the customization. At the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition EBACE 2012, which opens its doors May 14 through 16 in Geneva, BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION presents the “
ELEGANCE” and “SPORTIVE” design lines to that end.

Prospective clients who do not own an aircraft yet can get assistance from the BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION experts in selecting and purchasing the right jet.

For the implementation of this concept BRABUS Group forged an alliance with three prominent partners from the aviation industry: RUAG Aviation and its aircraft facilities in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich has been one of the most respected vendors of maintenance and completion work for many years. PrivatAir is a leading charter and aircraft management company with a global aviation network. HAPPY DESIGN STUDIO has many years of experience in the development and execution of individual liveries for a wide variety of aircraft. All BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION services are certified in accordance with FAS and EASA guidelines.
“The exclusive customization of aircraft by the new BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION business division is the logical evolution of the product portfolio for us,” explains Prof. h. c. Bodo Buschmann, CEO of the BRABUS Group. “A number of customers already asked us in the past to trim their yachts to fit their personal taste and there also have been repeated requests for custom-tailored BRABUS interiors for private jets. That’s why in addition to our marine division we now also have the BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION business division.”

The new business division offers business-jet interiors made to customer order or refines aircraft already in operation. All BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION modifications are EASA- and FAA-certified.

As their debut the BRABUS interior designers have developed two different exclusive cabin design lines for the Bombardier Global Express.

The “ELEGANCE” design line lends the cabin of the Global Express an exclusive, bright atmosphere of well-being with a combination of cream-colored BRABUS fine leather, Alcantara and high-end wood applications. As is the case for all BRABUS interiors, the BRABUS designers and upholsterers pay particular attention to a perfect finish of the cabin appointments down to the last detail. This encompasses the precise color coordination of all interior components including the elaborately designed wood trim with high-gloss finish.

The “SPORTIVE” design line sets an exciting contrast in the cabin. Its combination of black and gray leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber lends the cabin a fresh and progressive appearance. The perfectly finished carbon-fiber elements and the seat design with red contrasting seams are inspired by the design of exclusive sports cars and exude sporty character down to the last detail.

The BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION high-tech inflight entertainment system lets passengers communicate and enjoy music or movies on high-end multimedia devices such as the Apple iPad or the iPhone. Custom-tailored receptacles with built-in chargers ensure the perfect integration of these components into the aircraft and securely store the multimedia equipment when not in use. After landing the iPad can be used in the rear compartment of the BRABUS 800 iBusiness sedan.

ELEGANCE”, “SPORTIVE” or fully custom appointment options: BRABUS PRIVATE AVIATION fulfills any request imaginable when it comes to cabin color and design.

LEAKED: First look at the BRABUS Sport Program for the new SL-Class (R 231)

From all tuners specialized on prepping hot Mercedes-Benz cars, BRABUS is definitely the ultimate no. 1. The Bottrop-established German firm is committed to offer its very own touch on almost each and every model in the lineup of the Stuttgart-based constructor. Their sheer dedication turns now to the new SL roadster, which has just received a bespoke package of special tweaks.

In the aesthetics department, the SL (R 231) by BRABUS features the popular AMG Sports Pack that is now further enhanced with the addition of the new and stylish MONOBLOCK WHEELS. Some BRABUS chromed badges on the body remind of the origins of this car. However, this is only a usual, start-up mild tuning program from the German tuner, so this prepped SL stays Mercedes-Benz when it comes to the passenger shuttle, with no visual differences to the standard version whatsoever.

The development basis for this BRABUS SL is the SL 500 variant, powered by the 4.7-litre V8 biturbo engine delivering 435 hp and 700 Nm. Performance level is improved with the introduction of the complexe BRABUS PowerXtra CGI tuning kit, which enables an output increase by 85 hp (up to 520 hp), whereas maximum torque climbs to 820 Nm. After the substantial engine modification, the new BRABUS Mercedes-Benz SL could reach a top speed of 300 km/h. Not bad, ain't it?

And we feel there's more to come. What about an extreme BRABUS 800 SL Roadster, equipped with the tremendous 12-cylinder unit producing a massive 800 hp peak output and 1420 Nm high-end torque, that enables the car to reach a maximum speed of 350 km/h? It sounds very likely for 2013 and this is a chance BRABUS won't let go, we say.

Stay focused as more official information will be released next days. Till then, take time and surf the picture gallery of the new BRABUS SL (R 231).

smart at the Geneva Motor Show 2012

Two world premieres and a European premiere: New developments from smart at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show

smart will be presenting numerous ideas for electric mobility in urban areas at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – with two wheels and four, with the practical cargo area of a pick-up or the sportiness of a smart BRABUS. The facelifted smart fortwo with a clearly restyled exterior will be a further focus.

The smart for-us translates the practical loading concept of a pickup to the reality of 21st century urban traffic for the first time. With its exterior dimensions it could almost go unnoticed on the loading area of a typical pickup, and it also anything but ordinary under the body. Thanks to the state-of-the-art electric drive with a 55 kW magneto-electric motor the zero-emission smart for-us, which will be celebrating its European premiere in Geneva, is agile and lively to drive.

The spring of 2012 will see the smart fortwo making its mark in a striking new look with an upgraded exterior and a fresh leather/fabric mix in the interior. The substantially revamped smart fortwo sports a markedly more dynamic appearance, featuring a larger radiator grille with integrated logo, striking front aprons in a new design, horizontally arranged LED daytime driving lights, muscular side skirts and modified rear aprons.

New limited series: the smart fortwo sharpred is a real eye-catcher as the intense red of the tridion safety cell and door mirror housing forms a striking contrast to the rest of the exterior in black. The smart fortwo sharpred is available as a coupé and as a cabrio with a 52 kW mhd petrol engine or a 62 kW petrol engine.

From June the further developed smart fortwo electric drive will start winning wide-ranging buyers in more than 30 countries for its innovative and forward-looking drive concept. Driven by a battery supplied by the Daimler subsidiary Deutsche ACCUmotive for the first time the 55 kW electric motor passes the 120 km/h mark. A new sales model makes the introduction to electric mobility particularly attractive: the sale&care model offers customers an opportunity to buy the vehicle at an attractive price and to lease the battery for a monthly fee.

smart will also be presenting the production version of the trendy and environmentally friendly smart ebike at the Geneva Motor Show. Just a few weeks later, from the end of April, it will be possible to order the electric two-wheeler from smart contractual partners in 16 European countries and in Canada. The first models will be delivered in May 2012. The smart ebike will initially be available in two colour variants at an attractive price.

The smart BRABUS electric drive, which will celebrate its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, offers a look ahead at the sporty BRABUS version of the smart fortwo electric drive. In addition to modifications to the exterior and interior styling, its drive has been designed for particularly dynamic and powerful acceleration. Aerodynamic body styling parts, BRABUS sports suspension and BRABUS Monoblock 16/17 inch alloy wheels add to the sporty appeal.

The near-series smart BRABUS ebike study, a further world premiere, can reach a speed of up to 45 km/h, thus offering a further enjoyable way of getting around the city and countryside. This sporty two-wheeler has the features typical of BRABUS - more style, more power and more exclusiveness.

World premiere in Geneva - smart BRABUS electric drive: Electric drive reloaded

The smart BRABUS electric drive that will celebrate its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show (8 – 18 March 2012) shows what the sporty version of the smart fortwo electric drive will look like. It will be available from smart centers in 12 countries from the end of this year. In addition to modifications to the exterior and interior styling, its drive has been designed for particularly dynamic and powerful acceleration. Aerodynamic body styling parts, BRABUS sports suspension and BRABUS Monoblock 16/17 inch alloy wheels add to the sporty appeal.

Zero local emissions yet maximum driving fun: the smart BRABUS electric drive proves that cutting edge urban mobility can be combined with lively agility and a sporty look. The electric motor is based on the state-of-the-art drive technology of the new smart fortwo electric drive with output of 60 instead of 55 kW. The smart BRABUS electric drive delivers maximum torque of 135 instead of 130 Nm, which means that it is almost always the fastest to pull away at traffic lights. The new BRABUS sports suspension makes a decisive contribution to driving fun by bringing the vehicle approximately ten millimetres closer to the asphalt. The sporty character is accompanied by special BRABUS sound to match, generated by a sound module.

The smart BRABUS electric drive comes with a BRABUS sports steering wheel with steering wheel gearshift as a standard feature. The recuperation can be regulated with the help of the shift paddles. And to ensure minimum interruptions to the fun behind the wheel a quick charging function is available as an option. The 22 kW charger enables a completely empty battery to be fully charged in less than an hour.

The smart BRABUS electric drive has a dynamic look that also signals environmental friendliness: the tridion safety cell and door mirror caps are painted in electric green whilst black dominates on all other body parts – even the front grille. Dark BRABUS headlamps, BRABUS "Monoblock VII" alloy wheels measuring 16" at the front and 17" at the rear, and BRABUS Xclusive aerodynamic body styling parts (a front spoiler and a special rear apron insert with double reflectors) round off the sporty look.

In the interior accent trim parts and contrast components also come in electric green. Numerous BRABUS Xclusive components, including the instrument panel and interior door trim in leather look, leather seats, stainless steel sports pedals with rubber nubs, BRABUS hand-brake handle and BRABUS dashboard instruments (cockpit clock and rev counter) convey a subtly dynamic look.

Sporty smarts are called BRABUS – and have been for ten years already. In 2002 smart and the tuning specialist BRABUS from Bottrop founded a joint company. As early as 2003 the first premium models developed by the joint venture smart-BRABUS GmbH were introduced on the market. The smart BRABUS tailor made individualisation programme has also been received very well by smart fans. With paint finishes in thousands of different colours, leather in 30 basic colours and exclusive design variants, six cabrio soft top colours and the extensive smart-BRABUS accessories
portfolio it enables creative customers to configure a smart in line with their own personal wishes.

Even more zero-emission fun on two wheels - World premiere in Geneva: smart BRABUS ebike

The two-wheel success story from smart is picking up speed. Just a few weeks before orders for the smart ebike start at the end of April, the company will present its vision for a particularly sporty variant at the International Motor Show in Geneva (8 - 18 March 2012). The near-series smart BRABUS ebike study can reach a speed of up to 45 km/h and offers a further enjoyable way of getting around the city and countryside without producing any emissions.

With more style, more power and more exclusiveness this two-wheeler boasts virtues typical of BRABUS. It has a dynamic look with the frame and fork in matt black and components such as quick release skewers, pedals and brake callipers in anodised green providing a striking contrast. The saddle and grips come in green leather. A four-piston brake system is fitted on the front wheel. The matt black four-spoke wheels are made of carbon. Further components that distinguish the smart BRABUS ebike from the smart ebike are Sport Contact tyres, weight-optimised cranks and pedals and the carbon seatpost.

With 500 watts the electric motor is twice as powerful as the motor on the smart ebike. At the same time it was possible to reduce the weight of the ebike by more than ten percent. This makes for agile performance: the two-wheeler that is liable to registration has a top speed of 45 km/h. The rider decides how much assistance to their muscle power they would like from the electric motor with the throttle grip. There is a choice of four power levels with the fourth and highest level providing maximum pushing power. The production version of the smart BRABUS ebike is expected to be available from dealers from the end of 2012.

Sporty smarts are called BRABUS – and have been for ten years already. In 2002 smart and the tuning specialist BRABUS from Bottrop founded a joint company. As early as 2003 the first premium models developed by the joint venture smart-BRABUS GmbH were introduced on the market.
